How completion works

Pass the practice question in every lesson first, then pass four assessment sets in order. Each set has 10 distinct questions and requires at least 80% (8 out of 10). All four must be passed; a high score in one cannot compensate for another. It is open-book and must be your own work. This automated assessment checks course understanding; it does not independently verify identity or workplace competence.

Each set attempt has its own 15-minute window. Starting an attempt counts even if you abandon it. Wait 15 minutes from the start before a retake; after every third attempt of the same set wait 24 hours. Passed sets stay saved. A live attempt can be resumed. Retakes and learning remain free.

About this course

Delegation is more than naming a person and a deadline. This course examines the intended result, relevant standard, available resources and decisions the recipient can make. You will practise choosing a suitable task and providing support that fits the person’s readiness, without assuming a management title creates unlimited authority.

Follow-through should check the work against the agreed requirements. It should also respond when the scope, input or timing changes. A valid method may differ from the manager’s personal preference while still meeting the standard. The extended lessons provide fictional examples and guided reflection. They support practical reasoning, not independent verification of workplace competence or a replacement for applicable organisational requirements.

Who this course is for

Team leaders who want to assign work clearly while keeping authority and support responsibilities explicit.

A practical example

Ask a fictional colleague to prepare a room-use plan using confirmed booking information. State what a usable draft contains and which layout choices are theirs. Keep final booking approval with the authorised role, and identify an early review before the draft is circulated.

If the source conflicts with another booking, the appropriate response is to clarify it through the responsible route. The task should not require the recipient to invent approval or conceal uncertainty. At review, discuss the specific output and a useful next learning step rather than apply a permanent label to the person.

Try your own fictional version, then enrol to work through the lessons, practice and assessments. Use this unmarked example to explore the skill before working through the course activities.
