What our certificates mean

Certificate of Completion

Our certificates record that a learner met a course’s stated lesson and assessment requirements on Bright Step Learning.

These courses are non-accredited and non-credit-bearing. A certificate is not an NQF qualification, does not award NQF credits, and does not confer professional registration. We make no claim of guaranteed employment, employer recognition or government endorsement.

Assessments are automated and open-book. We do not independently verify learner identity or workplace competence. A QR code confirms platform issuance and current certificate status only.

Your choices and costs

Lessons and assessments are free for all 13 courses. Email Basics, CV Writing Essentials and Study Skills include free PDF certificates. The other ten offer optional R49 certificates. All certificates require passing all four assessment sets; pricing is shown before enrolment. Your dashboard completion record stays accessible without a purchase.

Verification and corrections

Anyone with a certificate number can view its course, completion date, holder initials and valid/revoked status. We do not publish email addresses or full learner names on that page. You may share the full PDF yourself. Corrections require administrator review. Revoked certificates show a revoked status when checked.
