BRIGHT STEP LEARNING
Terms of use
The first version is for adults aged 18 and older. Use accurate account details, protect your password and submit your own assessment work. Do not share accounts, impersonate others, scrape learner data or interfere with security.
Free learning and optional certificates
Lessons, practice and final assessments are free. Certificate pricing is shown before enrolment and held on that enrolment. Passing does not require buying a certificate. A completion record is available in your dashboard. Email Basics, CV Writing Essentials and Study Skills have free certificates. The original other ten courses have optional R49 certificates. Newly approved specialist courses may offer R99 or R149 certificates, displayed before enrolment. Existing enrolments retain their displayed certificate price.
Assessment
Complete all lesson practice first, then pass four sets in order, each with 10 questions and an independent 15-minute timer. Score at least 80% in every set. Attempts are open-book. A started attempt counts even if abandoned. The minimum wait from an attempt start is 15 minutes, increasing to 24 hours after every third attempt. You can resume an unexpired attempt. Learning and retakes are free.
Status and fair use
All courses are non-accredited and non-credit-bearing. Certificates do not confer NQF qualifications, professional registration, employment guarantees or government endorsement. We may correct or revoke certificates for errors or substantiated misuse, with support available for queries.
Optional confirmation letters
A Learning Record Confirmation Letter costs R60 for one completed course. It is separate from a certificate and requires recorded completion and verified payment. It confirms the platform learning record only, not an NQF qualification, character, identity or employment suitability. Save your correct name before purchase; ask support for corrections. Existing letters can be downloaded again without another purchase.
Support and consumer rights
See the contact page for the provider’s identity and support details. Read the refund policy before an optional purchase. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights. The provider must complete its legal identity and policy review before accepting real payments.
