90–120 minutes4 short lessonsSelf-paced · English

What you’ll be able to do

  • Match evidence to a real vacancy
  • Describe skills with honest examples
  • Prepare a clear CV and check it before applying

Your course, step by step

  1. Read the vacancy first
  2. Choose useful sections
  3. Show evidence, not empty labels
  4. Make it readable and submit safely

How completion works

Pass the practice question in every lesson first, then pass four assessment sets in order. Each set has 10 distinct questions and requires at least 80% (8 out of 10). All four must be passed; a high score in one cannot compensate for another. It is open-book and must be your own work. This automated assessment checks course understanding; it does not independently verify identity or workplace competence.

Each set attempt has its own 15-minute window. Starting an attempt counts even if you abandon it. Wait 15 minutes from the start before a retake; after every third attempt of the same set wait 24 hours. Passed sets stay saved. A live attempt can be resumed. Retakes and learning remain free.

About this course

A useful CV helps a reader find relevant information without making them search through unrelated detail. This course introduces a practical structure for contact information, skills, experience and learning. You will consider how to connect an actual contribution to the opportunity you are applying for and how to keep statements specific and honest.

Experience can include suitable volunteering and practice projects, but it should be labelled accurately. Do not turn a short activity into an invented job title or claim a qualification you do not hold. The activities use fictional details so you can practise the structure before deciding what is appropriate to share in a real application. Follow the actual vacancy instructions and obtain permission before sharing another person’s reference details.

Who this course is for

Job seekers and adults preparing or refreshing a straightforward CV.

A practical example

A fictional applicant helped prepare a community workshop. “Prepared a checked materials list from the organiser’s brief” gives the reader a concrete contribution. “Experienced senior operations manager” would exaggerate that same activity if the applicant never held such a role.

Choose one real type of contribution and write a fictional example showing the task, your action and a relevant result you can support. Remove unnecessary identity numbers or financial details. A clear CV can help communicate your experience, but this course cannot guarantee an interview or appointment.

Try your own fictional version, then enrol to work through the lessons, practice and assessments. Use this unmarked example to explore the skill before working through the course activities.
