How completion works

Pass the practice question in every lesson first, then pass four assessment sets in order. Each set has 10 distinct questions and requires at least 80% (8 out of 10). All four must be passed; a high score in one cannot compensate for another. It is open-book and must be your own work. This automated assessment checks course understanding; it does not independently verify identity or workplace competence.

Each set attempt has its own 15-minute window. Starting an attempt counts even if you abandon it. Wait 15 minutes from the start before a retake; after every third attempt of the same set wait 24 hours. Passed sets stay saved. A live attempt can be resumed. Retakes and learning remain free.

About this course

An asset register links a particular item to useful factual information, such as its identifier, description, location and responsible role. This course focuses on introductory record administration. You will practise distinguishing a planned movement from an actual movement, and an observed condition from an unperformed technical inspection.

A register is not automatically proof of ownership, valuation or legal compliance. Its usefulness depends on accurate sources, clear units and updates through the appropriate process. Use fictional assets for practice and do not publish real security-sensitive locations or personal details. This is general introductory record-keeping practice for ordinary resources. Check the applicable procedures in your setting before using a register for real work.

Who this course is for

Adults maintaining a simple office or community-resource register within their assigned role.

A practical example

Give a fictional projector a distinct reference and record its confirmed room and custodian role. If someone plans to move it next week, keep that intention separate from its current location. Update the actual location only when the relevant movement is confirmed through the authorised process.

A visual note such as “outer case scratched” describes an observation. It does not prove the equipment is electrically safe or technically functional. State the check limits and use the responsible route for specialist assessment rather than expanding the register’s claim beyond the evidence.

Try your own fictional version, then enrol to work through the lessons, practice and assessments. Use this unmarked example to explore the skill before working through the course activities.
